We thoroughly enjoyed our training with Alex last week. Tommy loved him and it was immediately clear that he knew what he was doing. Previously I was concerned about feeling silly and judged but Alex made us feel at ease and empowered to train Tommy. I couldnâ€™t have said it much better myself. Iâ€™m simply looking to restructure the pecking order, by training and empowering the owners so that their dogs trust, respect and listen to them more, and in turn worry less about things outside of their control. The training was amazing! Alex made me feel really comfortable and not daft for how I was feeling or how Nigel was reacting. Alex taught me many ways, easily and thoroughly, that I can train Nigel with to be a better behaved dog so we can both live a happy stress free life. Nigel learnt quite quickly during the session but we still have a way to go but with the tools I was given I'm sure we will be fine, Thankyou again to Alex for giving me the confidence and knowledge I needed :)

Often when we take on a rescue dog we over compensate with love and affection so that they realise they have found their forever home. However in doing so we sometimes make them a little more stressed. By building in some simple ground rules and giving them attention on your terms, not theirs, we should have a much happier dog and owner. Keep up theÂ good work!

From the first contact Alex made us feel easy. His mannerism and overall development of the lesson made perfect sense from the onset. We felt so at ease as did Poppy. The explanations and instructions were clear and concise and built logically with explanation at each stage. Since the lesson (2 days) we have noticed a difference with out 9 month old Weimaraner, she is much more relaxed and seems to have an overall calmer demeanour. She is adapting well to the instructions and training followups we have been given. Can't wait for the next session (oh and we will have smaller cups for the brew??). Gail & Tony & Poppy

Even if we have had dogs before, a puppy can be quite hard work. Some one on one training can certainly get owners back in the right direction, and follow up support can be useful to make sure we address any other issues that might crop up. Alex was very patient with Charlie jumping up at him. Was clear that he will train us to train Charlie and that we all need to be committed. Had a walk outside so he could see Charlie in action and did some training inside. Bah technique is working in letting Charlie know who is in charge. Tips on sleeping and food have been introduced and we are seeing improving behaviour already.

We are first time dog owners and got a cockerpoo puppy during lockdown. I was concerned that we should be using the time to train our puppy but no one seemed to be available. I contacted Alex and he fitted us in as soon as possible. He was very reassuring and had a wealth of knowledge both personal and professional. He talked with us and demonstrated a number of techniques. He also talked through more general issues such as diet and leads. After the lesson we received a number of documents covering different areas that were very useful. It can be difficult to absorb all the information in the session so having the follow up documents was very useful. We are all trying to follow the advice given.

Alex was friendly, professional and non judgemental. He equipped us with tips and tactics to address elements of our dogs behaviour. He demonstrated techniques and allowed us to practise with the onus being on our continued effort in maintaining the new behaviours going forward. We practised techniques both in the house, in the garden and on walks. Bark busters won't â€œcureâ€ your dog's behaviour but it will give you the tools to change your behaviour and address issues with your dog- we can see a difference already!

I love working with puppies but it has to be noted that there is no quick fix for teaching a puppy what they can and canâ€™t do. Time, patience, consistency and the correct techniques will get the desired results in the long run. Iâ€™m looking forward to catching up with them all soon.

We have had Taco (12 weeks old) for 4 weeks, I love dogs but my husband is scared of them. We have had a few hard weeks with him as we are just getting used to having a puppy and we have found it hard finding how to apply the correct training methods, acceptable actions and behaviours that we should be doing around him. Today was our first lesson with Alex, he was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He taught us how to train Taco, how to calm him down and have gave my husband a lot more confidence when he is around Taco. After Alex left Taco has been so much better behaved, a lot more obedient and calm. I cant recommend Alex enough, he is GREAT!!

Over the past 5 weeks I have possibly worked with more puppies than saw in the 6 months before lockdown!! Iâ€™ve helped both experienced dog owners and first time puppy owners. Puppies can be really hard work and there is no quick fix, but with ongoing support we can train any puppy. Todayâ€™s session went really well and Iâ€™m delighted that the owners have already seen a difference. I canâ€™t wait to catch up with Taco in a few weeks to see how he and his parents are getting on.Â

Alex was very supportive and gave us clear instructions with what to do which we are using and it's helping. We are going to have a follow up lesson with in 2-3 weeks and will also arrange a walk with his 2 dogs to help with the control of our dog with other dogs. Great session. It was really nice to be able to work with customers in their homes again (social distancing of course) but having the option of doing some virtual session and revisits will great help moving forward.

Although the session went really well follow up support is generally needed so that we can build on their training. It also gives customers the option to bring their dog to my home and we can do a walk with my 2. Some controlled exposure to dogs they donâ€™t know can be really beneficial.

Cant wait to catch up in a few weeks.

We had a remote session with Alex (due to the coronavirus pandemic) and managed to successfully start work on a lot more than I expected. He showed us some helpful videos to understand more about why Leo thinks and acts as he does and how the training techniques he taught us can help him worry less and find his rightful position in the family. Within the first session I was amazed to see how Leo responded to the training and after just a week have already seen an improvement. We will definitely continue to work with the training Alex showed us and can't wait to meet in person and practise lead work and consolidate what we've already done.

The remote sessions are working really well and we are able to do far more than I first envisaged. Obviously Iâ€™m looking forward to meeting them face to face once I am allowed to visit customers in their homes, but moving forward the remote sessions will be good for a quick catch up and will allow customers to show me how well they are doing .
