Ben was brilliant from the moment we met him; absolute font of knowledge and set the tone for the training that we are going to embark on. What I found really useful was his ability to utilise his own experience with examples.

We contacted Ben from Barkbusters as we were having issues with our 7 month old Sprocker puppy. Ben was very personable, friendly, helpful and direct. He took time to explain the theory behind the training practices and explained things clearly. He rather changed our behaviour in dealing with our dog than the dogs behaviour.After the initial lesson, which incorporated us taking control over our dog, in a firm but fair way, we were left with a much calmer, more relaxed dog and we felt able to deal with any problems we came up against. We had a fantastic experience with Ben, who came to our home to work with our 12-week-old Pomapoo puppy, Bobby. From the start, Ben took the time to really understand the issues we were facing — particularly Bobby’s early signs of aggression and his tendency to ignore corrections. Ben’s approach was calm, clear, and incredibly effective. He showed us how to use body language more confidently and taught us how to make our verbal commands more meaningful. The change in Bobby has been amazing — he’s now much more relaxed, attentive, and clearly sees us as his leaders. We feel much more confident as dog owners thanks to Ben’s guidance, and we’ve already seen lasting results. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for support with their pup!

In the space of just over 2 hours Ben had taught us & our dog, how to behave towards each other. A simple process applied as instructed has transformed a very lively strong willed puppy into a well behaved delight. We now feel confident that our canine relationship has improved enormously. More than I’d even hoped for. Ben left me with things to work on which I absolutely believe we can achieve from day one, my dog responded so well and it is undoubtedly because the strategies Ben was using were the right ones! When our new dog Nessa started to make us feel we genuinely needed some external help and advice, initial research left us confused. Did we need a dog trainer or a dog behaviourist? After lengthy research and lots of discussion, we kept circling back to Ben at Barkbusters. We took the plunge and arranged our first session. After that first session we felt that Ben provided everything we expected in terms of behaviour and training. The results were immediate and Ben spent lots of time listening to our individual concerns before teaching us how get the very best out of Nessa in terms of basic behaviour, control and most of all, being able to go for walks whilst while Nessa stayed calmly at heal, ignoring distractions and accepting that during walks, and whilst indoors, we were pack leaders and not her. The changes to our lives, and I must add Nessa's, have been immeasurable. She is now a much happier, calmer, content dog. Ben has always been on hand if we needed advice, and left us with a renewed self confidence that we could do everything he taught us. That more than anything, made all the difference. Excellent 1st visit from Ben, he was calm and put both Billy and myself at ease, easy to follow techniques, cannot believe how quickly we managed Billy to walk well on a lead it is now a pleasure to take him for a walk, the barking is becoming less and looking forward to the next lesson with Ben

Ben was amazing, patient and very knowledgeable! We are over in Cornwall for our pups for holiday and needed help with his pulling on the lead and jumping up at others due to excitement. Ben taught us the tips and tricks that would help with just that and always asked if there was anything else we were concerned about. The next day we put ourselves and Riley to the test in Looe and it was like we had a different dog! Highly recommend and thank you again Ben!
