Alex dealt with Separation anxiety
Another lovely puppy and 2 more happy owners. They had both worked really hard since taking their puppy home, but they really wanted to know if they were getting things right. There is so much information on line, but wherever you read, someone erase will say something different. I have used the same training techniques I was taught over 10 years ago and they have always achieved the desired results.

Alex dealt with Aggression, Barking, Separation anxiety, Other
Only had Alex for one visit and he was very professional and friendly, my chihuahua buddy took to him straightaway, he has lots of issues and thinks he is the boss and protector, The training I have been left to do with buddy is going well, Alex has messaged me to see how buddy is doing and he can be contacted any time for support. I do believe by the time buddy's training has finished buddy will be a happier and more friendly little dog. After only one visit I would definitely recommend Alex and barkbusters.
I have met a lot of excitable smaller dogs over the past 11 years and in the main we tend to make a difference in the way the dog listens and behaves by the end of the initial session. Buddy certainly didn’t disappoint. Although he had form for running after people and barking at them when they tried to leave his home, he was on best behaviour for the entire session and within a couple of hours we became good friends. Most customers will get some relatively quick win’s following the initial session, but some behavioural issues can take a little longer to fix or improves. I’m looking forward to catching up with buddy in a few weeks time to build on his training.

Alex dealt with Puppy management
Met with Alex and we went through several exercises together with my Golden Retriever puppy, Penny. She responded well and I'll continue to practice with her until our next visit from Alex. Alex explained things clearly before then going through the exercises to show me how it's done, before I then had a go myself. The initial lesson was very hands on which worked perfectly and I'm looking forward to seeing Alex again so we can continue training Penny. Alex is clearly knowledgable and I've got full confidence in his abilities to train Penny with me. The exercises we did most definitely instilled more confidence in me too.
I love working with puppies. Partly because I can watch them grow up to be well behaved dogs and partly, because I am able to go home after a couple of hours to my 2 older dogs, unlike their owner who lives with them full time. As I have said before, there really is no quick fix with a puppy. For me they are puppies until about 6 months old. Then they enter their teenage phase, but by 12 - 18 months they will be a well behaved adult if we get things right. Penny was certainly full of energy, but after just over 2 hours she was absolutely shattered and she was fast asleep when I left. Look forward to catching up with Penny and her family in a few weeks

I love sessions with multiple dogs as they make me think more. Usually the owner thinks they have identified the dog that needs the most training, but more often than not, we need to focus on one of them other dogs. Great session! Started off with 3 excitable and slightly anxious dogs who were doing a lot of running around and a lot of barking. Finished with 3 calmer dogs who were very tired and who were all settled on the rug on the floor.

Alex dealt with Pulling
Rosie is a lovely dog, but she used to get extremely excited when people entered her home and she used to pull her owner all over the place when she went for a walk. By the end of the initial session, she was listening much better to her owner and her heel work had massively improved. Can’t wait to catch up with them both soon.

I quickly came to realise when I changed career over 10 years ago that my job is very much training the owner and not their dog, as it is far more important that a dog listens to their owner than a behaviourist like myself. Really enjoyed the initial session, but their dog was very nervous of people he didn’t know entering their home and he barked a lot. Caught up with them all yesterday and he was so much calmer. By the end of the follow up session we became good friends which amazing. Look forward to catching up again in a few weeks to see how they are all getting on.

Frida is a lovely dog who already listened to her owners more than a lot of dogs I meet. But she is very nervous of strangers entering her home and hates being left home alone. In order to improve these behavioural issues, its important that we change the dynamic between Frida and her parents so that she becomes aware they are going to keep her safe in all situations and that she doesn’t need to worry when she is home alone. She did really well during the session and I’m looking forward to catching up with them all in a few weeks.
